Alright, I'm calling for help. So I've decided to tackle a pyro, towel head wrap, but I need major help. How would you suggest I make this? I tried to model it straight out, but I'm not very pleased with the result. I might try sculpting, but I'm horrible at it.
Hey guys, im having a hard time thinking of how to tackle the fabric grip. It wraps around the handle and cris-crossed. Best thing i cant think of is to make a spline and do it manually around the grip.
Hi everyone, I have modeled a vase for a small oriental scene I'm working on that looks something like this: I was wondering is there an easy way to texture the pattern to wrap around the model like that? like some way in zbrush to "roll" the texture across a surface?
In Max is there a way to shrink wrap an object around another (ie using scale or push modifier)? Modo has the Background Constraint tool, which allows the scale tool to be used to constrain one mesh to another. In Max, is the only option to go around pushing it on bit by bit with the conform brush, and then cleaning up?
Hi! I don't know if this is possible or maybe it's actually really basic but does anyone know if there is a way to create a text (for a game) that would have an alpha like a transparent stroke wrapped around it? Thanks :)
Hey guys, Does anyone know if there is still a tool to flatten a polygon mesh by deforming it into its UV layout in world space? And then use it to wrap around any patterned geometry? I wanted to do something like this: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1115091&postcount=156 Can't find the tools anymore though.
Does anyone have a technique that they would recommend for producing a believable animation of a character wrapping a bandage? I had been considering using an elongated plane rigged with a chain of bones, then unrolling it over a character's arm. My plan would be to export this for use in UE4.
Sorry no, I assumed that there was another object that this tape is wrapped around and that you have a lowpoly model for that. So instead of having a dedicated lowpoly model for the tape, bake it directly onto the part the tape is wrapped around.
You can do the wrapX technique in Houdini apprentice for free http://forums.odforce.net/topic/28907-wrapping-geo-like-wrap3/#comment-164288 And you won't just be limited to 'wrapping' polygons
Hey everyone, someone from the community requested I make them a tutorial, so here it is. It's my first time making one, so any C&C on it would be great. This is a simple walk through on how I make tape and fabric wraps in zBrush, hopefully this can help someone :) http://jordankocon.carbonmade.com/projects/4113716 <full…
