Cheers it was rendered and lit in modo, and it was also created with an animation workfkow in mind so the textures are a mixture of procedural modo materials and photoshop techniques.
The only things Max really has over Modo are: - Modifier stack. There are times when I really like having it. - FFD modifiers. Nothing like that in Modo. - Spline modeling. Nothing easier for wires and cables. Other than that, I'd rather use Modo.
Not my work but I thought this might be interesting to anyone who wants to get techy with Modo. A complete video series on the hows and whys behind creating Modo kits and scripts: http://hellomodo.com/2013/02/muhamed-toromanovic-creating-kits-for-modo-series/
Holy crap! I just got Modo and it kicks ass modeling wise. It does the simple things 3dMax can't or should do. Why aren't the big game studios using this?
I use max and modo, I feel like i get my projects done faster in modo :D i hope the new modo will have better exporting options and baking options :D than i wont need max anymore :o
