They haven't, each part of the 'revamp' has been done by different people who simply had them put into one place for easy access. For example, 3 people so far have contributed to the shaders, 2 have done the revamp of the cars, and 1 for lighting, and from what I gathered, this guys never came into contact with one another… -

Ther's some considerable downsides to photogrammetry. Things need to exist, you have to scout, find, buy, borrow objects etc. Imo procedural tools will become ever more prevalent and be the future. But ther's definitely a niche that intersects with both which you can try to fill. So maybe shake things up with Substance,… -

well, if you actually use maya's default trees (paint effects) they come with uvs already setup for that. Or you could use nurbs surfaces as well... It's a matter of knowing how much to tile in the material editor in UDK. The trees from speedtree have straighten uvs. Same as Maya's paint effects trees. And they have a LOT… -
