So say I have a texture like the one pictured above. It's essentially one type of material on top of another. In this case, rocks over top of sand. What is the best method to texture the rocks in one layer and the sand in another? I've always just outlined them in PS by hand... And man, I am sick of dong that. I'm sure…

Having watched a few Blender 2.8 texturing video, I decide to try it for myself. And I miss some basic features from 2d texturing software: a simple layer list, and ability to save all changes quickly. Hello everyone, I've generated a 2k height map from substance designer and imported it to ZBrush to use it as a displacement map, but applying the map generate some weird layered artifacts, This also happens when I use the map as an alpha with the standard brush, any idea what might cause this issue? Thanks
Hi, I am trying ndo2 for creating tileable hardsurface normal maps. But I have a hard time finding any information about how to stop ndo2 from applying bevels at the edges of my texture space. I need to perform actions on multiple objects at once, however maya does not allow some actions on multiple objects, so i must combine them first. This is a problem as i need to retain my objects order heieracy and name. is there a way i can restor the combined mesh to its uncombined state later?
I'm trying to work out if it's possible to use the NLA editor for a layered animation workflow in blender. It feels like it's almost possible but I'm not quite sure what I'm doing. The end result needs to be a regular action so I can import multiple ones to unity. Anyone know how to do it? Thanks!
