lol I'm actually unsure about naming convention. I'm guessing there are multiple types of naming conventions each suited for different purposes. For editing I try to keep names recognizable so I don't forget what something is, and it's important during the baking process. Most items turn into incomprehensible IDs in the…
Yeah i like that one also, trying hard ova here to do something i guess just for myself now.I got volumetrics working on my end took a bit of configuring, all trial & error, still lots to do for my pleasure but for now at least its an update getting closer. and the better quality video on the folio post @ bottom of all the…
Those bands that run through the fog and ocean are from the depth fade node I've used in my shaders built with ASE. It has something to do with the depth texture. It only shows up on some devices. It's not present on Ipad, or older Android devices. Only Adreno GPUs as far as I can tell atm. I did manage to make it go away…
Hey guys, I decided to make this thread after doing a week long research on normal maps and how to render them out properly without running into all kinds of artifacts and errors. It may fall under the same principle as lexical fatigue or semantic satiation, which is what happens when you see, or read a word over and over again and it doesn't look right or loses its meaning. I've yet to hear a term for it relating to art or animation however, as I assume it's the same thing as when 2d artists flip…
So I've read a thread by visoutre about all kinds of problems with baking normal maps in xNormal which was posted a few years ago, but the solutions given there weren't that much of a help to me, so I assume that I am doing wrong something else. I fastly modeled a cave like thing in ZBrush and exported the High and the Low…
