I think you *can* get rid of epics packages but you'll also have to edit DefaultEngine.INI and remove the EditPackages listings, and only delete those packages from the game itself. You'll need to keep anything with Editor or Engine in the package title.
problem: for max 7, in the uv unwrap edit window, when i change the bitmap dimension for the "projection box", the change is not displayed. it appears to be a bug with max 7, i've checked three machines with the same results. does everyone else that has max 7 have this problem? anyone know how to fix this problem?
I am currently looking to simply edit a graph of a sphere, the sphere's Y translation input is associated to a rotation X output of another object. After selecting the sphere, and then opening up the graph editor, I cannot select the translation attributes. Any help would be greatly alleviating.

It happens that they stay that way inside the UV editor when editing the UVs after using the Auto UV Unwrap tool for some reason. The actual representation in the viewport, however, remains correct, so I just tend to disable the texture preview inside the UV editor or dim it.
