Maya::Graph Editor:: How do I select an object's translation attributes?

I am currently looking to simply edit a graph of a sphere, the sphere's Y translation input is associated to a rotation X output of another object.

After selecting the sphere, and then opening up the graph editor, I cannot select the translation attributes.

Any help would be greatly alleviating.

How are these objects connected? Just via parenting, or via attributes? I'm guessing that the attributes cannot be accessed because it is already connected to that other object.
