Maya Graph Editor real time playback

Just a quick technical question, is it at all possible to view animation in real time while manipulating handles in the graph editor? Every time I make adjustments playback stops until I release the LMB after editing a point or handle.
I was certain there was a way but the internet is not bringing anything up. Did I dream this or is is a thing?
