I have two meshes that are overlapping together, this supposed to give me a shadow that covers the directional light illuminated from behind these two meshes but there is still a light that passed through in between them, the two meshes behind the chairs have two sided lighting but the floor isnt. I've rebuilt the lighting…
Hi ya! First I gotta say, fantastic piece of software this! Finally got a license at work too and I can't wait to get to use it professionally now as well. Anyway, I stumbled onto a couple of things that I can't figure out. I have a project where I have made material id's separately for normal detail screws and for the…
Just working on some cyberpunkey weaponry, fusing traditional fantasy with something more modern. Trying to keep it low since it's for mobile. The top image is the reworked concept, the second one is the original I had but was told it was too similar to FF's Buster Sword, haha. Can y'all give me crits on design, texturing,…
Well, I wasn't sure about posting a late Art Challenge post (or where to post it if it was late), but since @LeonDreiling is doing it, I guess I will too. I started on this with only three or four days left of the 100th Art Challenge, and thought I'd just churn out a quick low or mid-poly prop. Some better planning at the…
I feel like this is such a small question that it doesn't really deserve it's own thread, but I find myself in this situation all the time and it seems like it should have a simple fix. I use those snapping buttons at the top of the image a lot. I realize it's not necessary to have shells precisely on top, but I'm a bit of…
Found this from Alex Senechal, amazing work ArtStation - Premium Tech Industrial SCIFI Trims and Floor Set - GUMROAD but curious he mentions a two UVs workflow with Trim Sheets. Does anybody know how this works? Or if there's another post in here that speaks about it - couldn't find anything myself.
have you tried just using the transform typin tool? if you select the two verts, select scale and go to tools > transform typin, putting in zero should instantly scale them together EDIT; ah just noticed u mentioned transform type in. still its not too bad to just use that is it?
Yeah, yeah, I know. This is technically two stories, but it follows the same plot. Plus, I decided to make it two separate stories because... why not? And yes, one of the two stories is written in a random character's point of view. That character is important because... wait a minute! I almost ruined the next part of the…
First off, there is one final section yet to be built that will tie it together. I have one major shot planned and this will mostly be a background object. I know that this is a long way from perfect, but it's the biggest project I've ever undertaken. I have modeled every single polygon here with no assets at all besides…
Is it possible to match the pivot (position/rotation) of one mesh to another mesh? for example: here the pivot of mesh "B" is desired the pivot of "A" is: I know i can "modify -> match transformation -> match pivots", but that only changes the position but not the rotation: any way i can also change the rotation of the…
