Hello, I'm new and I don't know what I'm doing! I recently started learning how to skin for UT2k4. Just the basics, editing skins, doing team skins, alpha channel stuff. I've been using Photoshop and the udn plugin. I wanted to reskin Visimo's Trainer Girl model. I started messing around with her face but I really need…
You aren't going to have a good view of a painting from a foot away either way. And as Justin brought up, it also depends on what material you are printing on. If it's canvas, the texture will definitely hide any blurriness and printing at 300 dpi wouldn't look any different than a lower dpi. You should't worry about…
[ QUOTE ] Looks cool, but... maybe it's just me, but the original feels more painted to me. Does it now work well when it is painting on a object with overlapping uv?
Hey fellow polycounters, Just a quick question. I am about to embark on my first ever hand painted textured model. I am new to hand painted textures and have wanted to try them for ages and would like to ask a question about how to attack the model itself. With stuff from WOW and nearly all hand painted models ive seen the…
not bad at all for a first try. two points: - paint in edge highlights along your corners, will make those polys look smoother. - add in more color variation, possibly reflected color from the ground, and discoloration on the wood.
Hi I'm currently doing a design/research project at uni which involves creating a small diorama. I'm making a house and a well based on a concept I found and use hand painted textures. I'm going to create the same scene twice but one will be textures made purely from Photoshop, and then I will recreate the scene again but…
