This panel loop tutorial on the pixologic site was pretty cool. http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/lesson/panel-loops/ Your needs should probably dictate what approach you take though, Zbrush may work for what you need using Dynamesh or ZRemesh or whatnot but as Ravenslayer said it may be more useful to look into a…
[steam] subtools are a half assed. half baked. weak as f__k implementation of such a fundamental feature as working with multiple objects. the technical wizards at that company have absolutely no f__king idea of usability. pixologic is an oxymoron [/steam] you might want to take a look at this plugIn :…
If you weren't able to attend siggraph or make it to the awesome presentations/tutorials by pixologic they put up the tutorials online. You may find them here: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?171039-SIGGRAPH-2012-Recap-Video-Series Also as I posted in another thread Crytek did workshops as well:…
The Pixologic Twitter feed announced an update to the GoZ plugin for Zbrush this morning. The entirety of the update is: New update of GoZ is available for ZBrush 4. It fixes several issues & add the Photoshop CS5 x64 support on Mac OSX. You can, of course, find the latest version at the official download page. The version…
If not, I guess the devs presume that all of their users are using 2 monitors? Btw: I'm not talking about setting up a textured plane in the document, that's just time consuming madness. That's the technique suggested on Pixologic's site but it just seems insanely complicated -like 11 steps (and gets affected by your…
i tried sculptris out as well but it still needs a few improvements regarding brushes, a larger variety maybe, such as the scrape brush in mudbox. It was all cool when it was owned and created by a small team but now that Pixologic has it i'm expecting much more from them. But at least its free, only sculpting app which is…
aw sorry Bardler. I remember during one of David Lesperance's workshops that he mentions there not being an easier way to do things like that, followed by a chorus of forum posts about people wishing Pixologic would add this feature. That was about a year ago, and I'm not sure anything has changed. Fingers crossed someone…
I hope to hell Pixologic doesn't get in the bloat bandwagon, because there is not byte of ram I can spare when running zbrush. I still use Photoshop 5.0, for 99% of my texturing. I just fire up CS2 when for warping or using brushes. I'm basically working in abandonware. (it's from 1998 ) damn emoticons
Zbrush can definitely handle more. It's the biggest reason why Mudbox never really got a foothold against Zbrush in the marketplace, and since then they've struggled to add features at a decent pace like Pixologic does. It's a shame because Mudbox has a great interface and some nice features. I think I would use it if it…
Hello! I got a problem where I've set up custom brushes in my zbrush interface, but when I close out of the program, and come back, the brushes have disappeared from their dock. I have to reload them again and put them back. I've saved config and ui. And downloaded a plugin from pixologic that was suppose to fix that…
