3ds max files can be exported to FBX which is the format the UDK generally works with - just drag and drop the FBX's into the content manager and go from there. I am currently using UDK but i know that cryengine 3 has beautifull terrain heightmaps, i`ve tried everything, set the image size to 4033x4033, converting a bmp to RAW and a lot of others but it does not work at all. Anyone knows how to export a heightmap to udk from cryengine?

Sup guys, I'm having a bit of problems in UDK(August). The AO shadows in udk don't meet up with the edge of some of my meshes, giving it a kind of halo effect. Here's a screenshot. Anyone know how to fix this?
