Hello. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to ask here. I saw this amazing concept art by Dylan Cole: http://www.dylancolestudio.com/Matte/personal/pages/TropicalCity.html and really wanted to recreate this scene in Unreal Engine. So to seek permission, I contacted Mr. Cole through the contact details he provided in his…
The witch doctors behind Substance Designer, Bitmap2Material (Allegorithmic) anounced Substance Painter PARTICLE BRUSHES How much time do you spend making your assets look real by adding wear and tear manually? Hey all, This is my first post in these fourms and I need a little help with starting a part of a model I'm currently working on. Im fairly happy with my RX-78-2 Kai that I modeled, and now I'm trying to GM-ify it, which is a pretty simple conversion since they are nearly identical, but the problem I'm having is with the…

Good blockout so far. I wanted to mention that this gun has been modeled a lot. Quite a few full size replicas have been built as well. One of those iconic sci fi weapons everyone loves. Not meant to discourage, it's just important to know that going forward
Ah yes, it is absolutely nothing complex, here's the current setup, i wish i was smart enough to work some magic with it. I saw some people do pseudo-softbodies using distance field gradient, or you could probably make some lava lamp like effect with this. Basically i'm using normalized distance field gradient as a…
