I had my computer go down for maintenance nearly every other month last year. Turns out a RAM stick was bad. And the GPU VRAM was also glitching. And a HD started to fail while another imploded. The mobo is also suspicious. Wonderful times. After RMAs and tweaking to stabilize it so it could limp ahead for a little longer…
Regarding your tri counts for your low poly models. Don't let poly budget hurt your folio. And at the same time don't use 10k tris on something that could easisy be done with 100 or less. Just use your best judgment. Great job, overall. Keep pimping the stuff!
10k Poly, 2x 2048 texture map environment for Splash Damage's test: Here's a 22k poly clock I made for TurboSquid to practice working quickly. Took 6 hours: Here are some low poly fantasy props. Each are between 98 and 100 polys, with one 512x512 texture map.
Hey all, made a fictional golf course environment to test new features of Unity HDRP terrain and lighting. Whole environment from blockout to final is done in 18 hours, used Unity Essentials and free assets. Most time spent on Unity forums figuring out warnings and errors related to terrain, hdrp shaders and art directing…
DeferredLightingCommon.usf line 103 //float3 Diffuse = Diffuse_Lambert( GBuffer.DiffuseColor ); float3 Diffuse = Diffuse_Burley( GBuffer.DiffuseColor, LobeRoughness[1], NoV, NoL, VoH ); uncomment 103 and comment out 104. Then in the console "recompilescripts changed" Im not sure if this will work as I don't have the ue4…
Yeah really the main thing you need to keep in mind is how interest works. 5K @ 10 years(10 years is a really long loan term for a loan of that size btw) wouldn't be $41(5000/10/12) every month. Its $41 + interest every month. Lets say you get an 8% interest rate ( have no idea what personal loan rates are there, but this…
Hello I’ve been looking into videos and books on how buildings are constructed. From an environment game artist’s perspective, I’m mainly interested in understanding materials, architectural feasibility, and how real-world construction informs believable design. Does anyone have any must-have resources or golden nuggets of…
Just got the demo and ordered the full version. I must say, for less than $100 it's got most of the functionality of Photoshop at a small fraction of the cost. Plus you can customize your keyboard! Bout friggen time. It saves and loads my existing .psd files properly. Anyone know of any drawbacks to it besides it not…
