But first this little backstory to explain what I'm after: I was working on an image for this month's challenge. As I finished it I figured it would…

@Shrike First off, thanks for taking the time to help. I have some questions for clarification though. What do you mean by the following ? I do have and am using Marmoset for render. Should I use it to render Zbrush sculpts as well ? More than 5m tris and my machine is lagging especially with good lighting and shadow. Most…
Marmoset provides IBL with HDRIs, but the variation is not too big and you always get a marmoset kind of style which is not really realistic imo, but I dont have a lot of experience with it. Id go for a nice offline render screenshot in a primary renderer. This is showing the difference in style between those shader…

Your object is "dropped to canvas" once you've adjusted the document size, so go to Layer (at the top) -> Clear and redraw your object and hit Edit again 2) Align it to the camera (hold shift…
Just wondering if anyone knew how to output renderings isometrically to a pixelart style. I've got the renders coming out fine isometric just need some tips of setting up mental ray (or any other renderer) to output a 256 colour pixel art-esque render. Using 3dsmax. Thanks
I think the most important issue is to make sure your scenes are well illuminated to show off your work, no good spending all that time sculpting skin pores if it dosen't show up in the renders. Kevin Johnstone's renders are really well done imo: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=62114&highlight=gears As you can…
Hey guys I have another problem.. I was doing more rendering tests for my final "look". So I set my output to 2.2, it seemed to fix the image, on the computer. Then I uploaded it on tinypic, and it was over contrasted... Edit: Nevermind.. it seems that tinypic makes it that way.. lol.. I guess I need another upload…
