i'd go a step further and say you're better off investing more time in getting the head to look right first or starting over altogether before moving on to something like retopo. sculpt needs work! try doing a topo that works for your puprose first and sculpt on that, eliminates or greatly reduces the retopo step.

You'd be much better off buying a DVD or two from Eat 3D or Gnomon on the modeling app that you use or of a project like Eat 3D's Fountain series. These DVDs can be watched and followed step by step like a tutorial or you can just watch them and take notes to pick up techniques and terms.

no. its a fact that a multi cut tool in maya is better than cut and connect(2 buttons for same work) in max. not sure tho if mayas multi cut tool can incremens in n% steps. if it can do that in multu cit, its superior. in modo i can increment in 5% steps while connecting 2 edges with edge.
