Looks cool. I especially like the boots and robot arm. I think a lot of the other elements seem like they could use a bit more detail. I like where they are headed, but they just need more of it.
Hey now, danr, they probably think cause they saw that one parody of A-Team on Robot Chicken they know all that they need to about the show. Besides, they've got wikipedia and youtube, what else do they need to know?
Hello everyone, I'm seeking some good training tutorials for photoshop because I would like to try my hand at texturing. Please post any tutorials that may have helped you with photoshop into this thread, thanks! Things such as texturing robots, guns, etc.
Hi, first post here! Some thumbnails sketches/ concept of my transformer. It's for a school project and I want my robot to have parts from a helicopter merged with maybe truck parts or something? I started to model the propeller and I used photorefs on a Black Hawk helicopter for that.

You've got cool ideas, now its time to execute them properly. You need to focus more on anticipation and follow through. Try to over-exaggerate the motion, it will help you sell it more and makes it less robotic...
I fear though that by using a stickman it would become very hard for the players to follow the main character... Maybe if I change the colors of the robot would suit better or do you guys suggest to change the whole model ?
Thanks Brian. I'll check out that link when I get a chance. It'll be nice to have more cyborg concepts, than robotic suits. Thanks for those pointers N-Gon. I'll work on those too.
For a critique of the messy room, I'd say that everything is too aligned to their axes. Rotate the bed and desk and stereo a little and it'll feel more natural. For the robot, i'd say the head looks a little long perhaps if it is meant to be humanoid?
Yeah I like this challenge, environment artists can team up, or make a robot or some sort of non-human driver pretty easily, although it favors character and creature artists a bit, that doesn't define the contest or limits.
