Hey guys! I've been fiddling around with 3d modelling for about 4 months now and have only started animating for about 2 weeks. Anyways, here is my portfolio of crap so I could receive c+c and suggestions from the best of the best. I'll post more as I make more. Please leave critique and advice, would service me greatly.
Just starting to mess around with hand painted textures in Substance Painter. Im curious why Im getting warping in my Arnold renders that does not appear in either Susbtance or the Maya viewport. This is handpaint only. No baked normals. Only importing the base color map to maya. No smoothing or subdivisions. Thanks in…
@sacboi Lol I didn't know my methods were that badly dated but I guess it's no surprise to myself given I mainly take inspiration from old games. On the other hand I actually did have some desire to learn some of the more advanced texturing stuff I see like procedural materials and such. I would love to learn how to do…
For upgrading my skills, i am planning to create first 5 levels of Crash Bandicoot : Warped in UE 4 . Here you can see part of my low poly models . I will post progress in this topic. Enjo:smile: Update 29.0:smile:   Original post: Final Image Wireframe KeyShot render
Ya know, it struck me recently when a neighbour died and I saw the dumpster being filled up with useless junk from his house by his family for the following couple of weeks, that as a species we are hoarders in the exteme. I've always been a fan of the minimalist look to things personally but I know I have a ton of crap…
You can try the free transform tool inside photoshop to distort the image and follow the curves. Simply choose the free transform tool then click on the button on the top right corner to enable warp modes. Then you'll have some control points to warp the image. It can generate some distortion, though.
No, it's not a game or a movie. It's actually a show on the Discovery Channel. The premise of the show is essentially just a couple of guys (scientists or not) run around filming things in super slow mo (up to 5000 times slower in some cases using high speed cams etc). Sometimes they do scientific tests, like looking at…
Hey no worries Brice! This is just about the best real-time shader I've seen and I really wanted to use it! I'm definitely behind the times in terms of graphics card tech. I'll just chalk this one up as another pro when deciding whether or not to buy a new card. Just to show you what's actually happening when I try to load…
You can take a towel and completely wrap it around the 360 (covering all the fans and possible exhaust ports) and turn it on for about 10 minutes. You should see the 2 red rings instead of the 3 after a while which means it has overheated. Do this a few times in a row then try to play a game (MAKE SURE YOU LET IT COOL DOWN…
Evening Polycounters! Quick question about the 3do mesh loading. I reinstalled Quixel 2 onto a new SSD i purchased over XMAS and now I am getting confusing warping on the mesh inside of 3DO. Not sure if this issue has been addressed before as I did a quick search but couldn't find the same topic. Exported from 3ds max it's…
