i just got max 8...dropped all my useful meshtools and what not in my max 8 macroscript folder and they aren't working. is there something buggy w/max 8 and meshtools/cspolytools/haywood tools? -

Just make sure you define what you mean by "-bit". 8 bits per pixel (bpp) = 256 colors. 8 bits per channel (bpc) = 16 million colors = 24 bpp color (8 bpp red, 8 bpp green, 8 bpp blue) or 32 bpp if you add alpha channel. 16 bits per pixel = 65,556 colors. 16 bits per channel = a lot of fucking colors = 48 bpp color. Hi Guys, I use Headus at home but at work we recently upgraded to Windows 8 and I fund the basic Maya unwrap tools a bit hit and miss. Max is so weird i dont know how they even fix bugs. i know lots people who have problems with 8 when it has never crashed or hung up once since i started using it. but i had all kinds of problems with 7 mostly crashes. and now i hear people using 7 insead of 8 cause 8s too buggy. i must of got the bizzaro copies of both 7… -

I upgrades to Win8 64 Pro this week and there were no big issues. Backed up data, wiped reloaded. The thing that actually took the longest was reinstalling games from Steam. I was a fairly big windows 8 hater until it came on a surface pro I purchased. Still hated it...and then discovered that once you add Classic Shell or any other start menu application... everything suddenly got better. dDo and Windows 8?
Hey folks, I'm on windows 8, using/learning dDo for the last few days and I seem to be having a lot more issues/problems than my coworkder who is using Windows 7. I'm sure part of the problem is user error, but I'm trying to narrow down the source of my problems. So yeah, is dDo working well for Windows 8 users out there?
