Here is kind the direction I am going. So, I have begun to do some layouts of a few assets. Your thoughts are appreciated. I just think the lighting/shadows on the UDK renders could be better. Somehow. I don't really get all the settings as far as dynamic and shadows and whatnot. :| There are so many little things. Turn…
Hi all, I threw a V-Ray sun using a V-Ray physical camera in my scene. I've never run into this problem before. What they hell? Here is my scene with all my settings shown: http://i.imgur.com/mu4t67E.jpg
Doing a Digital Lighting and Compositing module at college and my idea is a sword and shield hanging on a wall. One asset has to be in the foreground and one in background and my idea is to take a backplate photo of a long wall at an angle to get most of the wall in picture with one close to camera and one far away. I am developing a game WorldAlpha.com, that is primarily icon-based. I have over 500 products. I was thinking for the highest end of each product (approx 50 products) I would love it if I could develop 3D versions, and have them either rotating, or the user be able to rotate them around. It is a non-Flash browser based…

How would you go about using the environments ( And would you have to determine which ones where good or better looking to choose from ) , also how…
I know it's not realtime, but maybe someone has this info here. I can't find it elsewhere and the folks at the Autodesk forum aren't much help. I'm wondering what R/G channel directions Arnold expects by default for normal maps. It comes with two check marks in the node flipping whatever it's expecting to come in by…
I am having a difficult time getting the skin tone that I want; I would like for it to be a pale, somewhat desaturated skin tone. Would I achieve this by having the diffuse a normal saturated skin tone and then working with the lighting to get the desaturated skin tone or have the diffuse map desaturated? Or is there…
You could try rendering in passes, then composite them in photoshop. Doing it this way should shorten render times and you'll get more control of your final renders.
