Hi Everyone! :) I'm working on something a bit more complex (for me at least xD. Since I'm still huge noob :D ) I want to finish it before 31st since its Halloween themed :) I did a concept of a scene im trying to make. I started modeling it before the concept was made. Cause i only made a character and then decided i want…
hey guys and gals! Just finished a texturing course at my university(Skövde in Sweden) today. So i thought it would be a great opportunity to post the results here and maybe get some feedback and then go ahead and polish them so i can drop them into my portfolio. So what did you do during this texturing course? We had week…
Hell all, my first post on Polycount. I am someone who took a psuedo-break from 3D ( as in still doing it, but not as much ) and now plan to get serious once again and hopefully land a job. One thing I need to take a look at is my texturing ability. The following 3 images are simple textures I created rendered on a flat…
Hi, This is kind of a challenge: I am looking for a way to generate scratch/worn similar to the effect on Tracer's leather jacket: I already know how to generate the seam, and the wavy color fade around seam, and now I have to simulate the sharp scratch that extends vertically along the seam. I am aim to do this completely…
Hi Polycount, I'm Sam, 15 years old, a young French CG Artist with a taste for video games. I made a couple of videos on YouTube about the process to create a Sci Fi Panel Floor, with nDo & Photoshop. I didn't used any reference, just my imagination... LINKS : Part 1 : [ame="…
NEW PORTFOLIO ( Disregard the stuff above ) I've gotten more focused on what I want to do. The reason why I'm posting this now ( I should've probably asked in a few months from now) is because I'm starting to have doubts about myself where I'm just saying "Well , I'm not good enough yet...I'll try next month" and that…
Yes, in my case, Tier 2 is probably the only option for me to secure the right to work there and requires a job offer from a company in the UK to qualify. You have to be sponsored to be eligible for the visa. I do feel that maybe companies don't take this route due to certain requirements or protocol to obtain a sponsors…
@Tobbo : Thanks for the feedback dude, I archived the Robot and Wizards stuff for now. I'd rather have the Summer Village than the Wizard's Tower to show off some handpainted work. @beefaroni : 2. I KNOW, it pisses me off but I can't do anything about it... >< Then I'd have to cancel my subscription and find a new provider…
@a3D To overlap a UV island, shouldn't it be the same? Otherwise it wouldn't fit. Even if I made them long squares like the guys mentioned, then overlapping non-same ones would make them stretched and I assume we don't want that. As I said I am quite new to this so feel free to correct me. @Mightypea There are only a few…
Thanks for all the feedback :) @N4meless I did some changes on the details scale on the arms and legs, they are easier to see now at a correct distance. @PeteJViney I did a little fixing pass on the right eyebrow, it works better now, and it will be more visible at render time as I will use a low camera angle.…
