you are right with the ear, my bad with the false alarm and that brow hud... had some headaches with that too. some heroes should not have that to give us a little more freedom..
Heck, back when I was modding for Freedom Force (the superhero RPG/RTS), a typical character had more like 3000 - 3500 frames, and that was back in the early/mid 2k's.
Top right or bottom left. But, as others have pointed out, you can have great hi-poly sculpting fun and creative freedom with any of your sketches really.
that's a damn good point. creativity is certainly restricted with less options... i'm more talking about motivation in games... but either way. the freedom to be creative is fantastic, if you ask me.
In the case of sandbox games, absolutely. I was thinking more old school first person shooters where level design sometimes had a bit more freedom and non-linearity.

You could maybe consider separating the cloak into two objects (since it's currently two layers textured onto one plane) that would give you a bit more freedom.
From meeting other artist here in Japan, they think Western artist are better; more detail, higher quality, more freedom to explore at work, pushing limits. Grass is always greener...
