I'm working on a "remaster" of an old-school dungeon crawler called "Dragon Bane 2" as a personal project.  The development is completed, but needs upgraded, static 3D models for two wall sets -- a town and a dungeon.  The game can be played in either 2D mode or 3D mode, and the 2D artwork is completed, so the 3D art requirements are well-specified, at least for the dungeon.  For the town, there is some room for artistic freedom to improve on the simple cube-like building designs.

The game will release on mobile + desktop.  The motif is fantasy/mideival, and the art style is semi-realism, approachable, and friendly, with sharp colors and visual appeal -- without any notes of mobile or cartoony aspects.  The models should be relatively low poly count, and include enough detailing with PBR textures to look their best close up.  The Bard's Tale Trilogy is the closest expression of what I'm aiming for in terms of style and quality.

I'd like to complete the work in 2-3 months, pay about $2500, and work through Discord and Github tickets to pay on a per model basis.

=== Edit July 14, 2025 (1 month later) ===

Although this thread was closed, I wanted to post a short retrospective of my experience here, as a datapoint for other indie artists and developers connecting on this forum.

After my initial post above, I received about 35 valid responses over the next 2 days, before closing the post. I used a 3 step process to identify an artist: (A) First, reviewed portfolios to select a dozen that were interesting; (B) Second, shared project details (scope of work, example tickets, existing game design, 3D exploration ideas), to ask if they were interested.  This step reduced the field from 12 to 9;  (C) Conducted a 2wk test to produce a sample model conforming to the price, quality, time, and design constraints of the project.  I offered to prepay $100 for this sample.

Eight of the artists returned sample models, pictured below, and from that set, we were able to find a great match for the project (top-left was selected).
