Hi guys. I was wondering what direction a model should face like the Z or X facing orientation. I heard some people can be fussy about the orientation when passing down a pipeline. Any help would be awesome.
Hi, like the title says, is it possible to enter multi select mode, then select some edges and some faces in the viewport, then in MEL somehow store the selected edges in variable1 and store the faces in variable2.

Problem basically detailed in the title. Trying to extrude a face in 3DS Max, so I have my selection set to "faces", obviously. But as soon as I click on the face I want to extude, my selection mode changes to "edges". Same thing happens when I try to select verts. What's going on, please? Have I just hit some hotkey…
