How different can a high and low poly model be?
So I've been trying to make some sci-fi stuff in 3DS Max, and some of the edge "divots" that sci-fi objects have only start to look right after I put 3-4 iterations of Turbosmooth on them. How to get rid of tri's on organic models?
So trying to use muticut to add the muscle shapes i've ended up with tri's but can never work out how to get rid of tri's :( If I collapse an edge the tri disappears but the next quad along becomes a tri. If I cut a tri in half all I get is a 2nd tri. Maybe getting rid of the tri's is something for later and I shouldn't be… -
How is foliage made?
Ok so I have like no clue how foliage is made for video games. I know you can use Maya to model them or make it a texture but surely that's not the only way. How do people make vines and little plants etc. -
