I want to know the limit players of national region to qualify? Another is inset type can use the form of realism? Design can change? " THX :) This is a global contest
You might be able to put a fuller in but just don't have it go to the tip. Could just mask that area out in the high poly, blur the mask a bit and inset it.
Hi! I don't quite understand Image 1, showing the lowpoly with the square insets. Is it missing a modifier? To troubleshoot, I would apply modifiers and check the resulting topology and UVs. If you want another pair of eyes, could zip meshes/problematic area and attach the file to a post.
Thought I would make a new thread for this because I didnt want to clog up MOP's game art ws thread. Well I was trying to create some inset lettering on this object I was attempting to use MOP's method of applying a sweep and creating my own profile line and ran into a few problems I can create the profile fine and get it…
I really really like this, but one thing that needs attention is the little statue: right now it looks too much like a rough Zbrush sculpt, it could really benefit from some tightening up where the mouth and eyes are inset; also the texture looks too green - the main reference shows it as mostly grey stone with moss /…
Since you have inset the N-Gon and you have a supporting loop running around it(kinda like a containment edge :P) it really doesn't matter if you wanna bake it down(Like MightyPea said, loosen up the edges a bit). However if you really want to show the wireframe of the Hp in your portfolio than you can always inset it…
I agree, you are relying too much on the relax of the turbosmooth to round the corners. It's your high poly model, don't worry about adding more geometry to better control things. Awesome high poly models aren't 16polys that happen to turbosmooth into the right shape, round that stuff out on your own. Also with something…
One thing that might help stop things from blending together is if you add a subtle bit of dirt/grime - around the bolts, in the crevices and corners of the insets, and around the keyhole.
Thanks for the input, can't stop looking at the size of the tires now that you pointed it out. Will definitely get on that, along with the deeper inset of the rims. Again thanks for the input really appreciate it.
Really liking this so far. What the others said about needing to exaggerate the edges and insets for baking purposes are true though. Sort those out and it'll rock! :D
