hey folks, here the last month or so i've dug into new territory, making foam props and costume pieces for our local comedy wrestling show PWR ( pwr.website ) and i think next up i'm going to be remaking one of the sci fi helmets that i made for planetside 2, (tho may switch gears and try something like a weapon from…
Definitely not bad! I agree with what Mgoblue412 said about cutting polys. Are you adding any glow to this? The mouth area of the axe kind of gets lost in the concept to model translation without it. The orb in the center could probably use some dimming down- right now it's really bright, the concept gives it a very sss…
I would say her proportions are still off...her arms are far too long. The head shape is very long from the profile as well. The top portion of the skull should resemble a tilted egg shape from the profile. I did a quick paintover. If you look the original mesh, you can see where I drew in the egg shape of what the skull…
Major Project - Bachelor Project Workflow optimization: ZBrush to 3D Print For my Bachlor Project i planned to do: - an Anatomy Study for my 3D Modell - 3D Printable Modell/Character - Workflow analysis I want to document my own progression and i am also grateful for any input and critism! IMHO, the neck fur is layed out in a way that detracts from the overall "completeness" of the character. Maybe scale down the fur under the neck and just behind the skull, and maybe have it trail down the spine a little bit. Also, I feel the skull could be scaled up a bit to make it more menacing, and the diffuse isn't…
Update show 2 Turntable on youtube one only the Body-mesh and one with the polypaint and some fluffy placeholders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGsxd_0JqhY&feature=youtu.be I did search for cats skulls, and some dog skulls, and posed him in a Double Spline-Spline direction Tom Mackie Thanks that was a really good…
Aliens are people to! I think the neck should be slightly hunched forward, or exceptionally muscled in the front, otherwise that rear skull weight would make it difficult to hold it upright for long. Perhaps a more protruding upper chest to give the neck more leveratge. With the small eyes and large ears and nose, it looks…
For just coming to grips with mudbox and sculpting I'd say you did a great job. The main thing that I would look to improve on your next sculpts is nailing your base forms first before detailing. Try to think about sculpting from the inside then out. Focus on the shape of the skull as it should define most of your head.…
@JHS Thank you for the feedback, I see what you are talking about with the skull. I tired to do a quick pass at sculpting the skull that would be underneath and ended up changing the check forms around the eyes and the lower jaw. I guess I wasn't worried about it looking like a goblin in the classical appearance, just that…
the nose is crushed in because its suppose to be rotted away a bit - not showing well yet i made the ears a bit bigger and moved them up, shortened the neck - but i didnt get the feel that it was overly thick... but if it turned out it is, easy fix spent more time trying to figure out what i wanted to do then i did doing…
