[Maya] Lag on nVidia 460 card, but not on 480?
Yeah, built my system a few weeks ago. It's a Intel 2600K 3.4Ghz, 8Gigs of ram and a 460Gtx 768Mg card in it. And a SSD 64Gb as system drive. Maya and Multi Monitors??
Hello, I've been searching into this on google, but haven't found anything useful. I have a multi monitor set-up and I would like to split some of Maya's windows/viewports between them. But when ever I restart Maya, they all go back to being on the 1st monitor Saving my prefs doesn't seem to do anything about this either.… -

I changed some options in different places, turned Maya off and on couple of times and everything started to work again. But honestly I don't know what brought it back. I didn't touch anything in tools options. I've never seen soft selection on my eyes before but I played with it a little and it looks like that was it.… -

I used to load Maya full of add-ons and custom UI, now I just tear off menus and use the Recent Commands box. Well transparency in Maya's viewport has never been an issue-free feature. Can't you find a workaround to using ambient lights? Maybe a cube map for ambient lighting? Point lights with quadratic falloff and low intensity (relative to their distance from target)? -
