Hi, I wanted to ask if there is a tool that allows u to use the uv grid setting in the UVW unwrap modifier in 3dsmax to slice up your model into seperate elements or objects. This is very useful for very high detail texturing. Thanks

I have here a flat top hair style with all the modifiers turned off so it's just the base xgen. I'm attempting to smooth the top part but each guide adds a little hill. Hi, So I'm trying to get a hex grid to tile correctly on a 512x512 texture. I've experimented a lot and I'm starting to think it's not possible. If anyone has a clue how to do this I'd greatly appreciate it.
Anyone know of a script python or mel that can snap UV's to nearest grid point. Doing a lot of lightmapping for UDK and I need to speed this up. Would be nice if it was in Maya but will take Max too if I have to.
