Alright people, I've got textures in my UDK environment that I was not sure were displaying normal maps properly. I use Xnormal for the majority of my baking, which by default (for me at least) is set to X+ Y+ Z+. I always import my normal maps into UDK as TC_Normalmap for compression settings. Also if you're baking your normal map with xNormal, make sure the y is set to y- rather than y+ because max, I think maya, and UDK use an inverted green channel. So if you baked your maps already with y+ just pop open the normal in photoshop and invert the green channel.
Hi! Don't understand why you flipped the y-channel either, as Painter-Projects can be set to either OpenGl or DirectX. What's your Painter-Project set to?
