Long story short, one degree and 2 years of professional experience later, I am going to move away from my architectural designer job and will study a different career path that will give me more creative opportunities in the workplace. I am starving for more creative work that will make my day-to-day desk job more…

Hello everyone, I want to share a new tool I've been developing for some time now called VmBaker. It is a texture baking tool mainly targeted at game developers for making low-poly models - but it's really up to you how you want to use it. Moving somewhere expensive to get a job in the industry is a bad move. Getting the job then shipping out is a much better one. You job hunt where it's cheap and follow the money. I've lived in Cali for 18 years its rough regardless of job. You can't really expect just your job to carry you out there. Software engineers and…

Imagine you want to comb your vertex normals sharply in one direction over a larger area:…
I did end up figuring this out. Exported the skeletal body mesh from unreal to maya, moved the feet into the heel position with the foot_l/foot_r and ball_l/ball_R bones. From there I copy/transferred the weights from the body mesh to the shoes and moved everything back before exporting just the shoes which were then…
