installed 3dsmax 2010 aswell, no dialog boxes aswell, is there a way to completely remove 3dsmax, i tried it in my configuration screen with add/remove programs function, but it still remembers my settings, might be worth a shot aswell. thanks low odor, tried the same with a simple box in 3dsmax 100 x 100 x 100 exporting… -
Painting vertex color maps 3dsmax.

[3DSMAX] no transparency with alpha blending in viewport.
I there a way to get full transparency for hair in the viewport in 3DSMAX? I only get Alpha clipped images when I try for example to create hair. Maya to 3dsmax , OBJ export options. Normals doesn't look fine unless i apply the "Edit normals".
Hello So basically iam a maya user and my client needs the output in 3dsmax scene file with some materials applied and also the smoothing groups. So i applied the Soften/Harden edges in maya and exported the file in format OBJ to 3dsmax. But in max unless i apply the modifier "Edit Normals" the normals aren't looking fine.… -

I have no stability issue with 3dsMax for sure. Yes, it crashes once in a while. But, generally it is very stable even with 100+ million polys in the scene. [3dsmax] can't import Zbrush Fibermesh splines (nothing to import)
When I export Fibermesh curves as an OBJ, and import it in 3dsmax, I see the curves/shapes in the import dialog. But when I try to import, it indicates that there is nothing to import. How can I get the export to 3dsmax working?
