Vray for 3dsmax question

Hi all!

I want to purchase a copy of V-ray but I'm not sure which version to get. I have a commercial version of 3dsmax 2012. I've done a bit of research but when i searched, vray for 3dsmax 2012. It just comes up with cracks and I want to use it properly. 

Basically can I buy older versions of vray ? And which version should I be looking out for? 
I hate asking simple questions on forums but Vray is something i have little knowledge about and I want to change that

They have backwards built available on their website. All the way back to MAX 2011

I have 3ds Max 2012 for one particular client who only uses that version (don't want to update their custom plugins), and they require I use V-Ray 2.5 with them. We could upgrade to the latest v3.3 though if they wanted.
