I'm wanting to take the Demon Lord route. I think I might mix some of the thumbs together. I don't know we'll see how they turn out. If they aren't doing it for anyone I'll just make some other thumbs.

I like 3 and 5 the most. I think out of all of them 5 has the most demon lord about him. That's def one of the harder classes to choose since you need to veer from any human characteristics. 2 and 3 are pretty neat but they scream more "brood mother" to me than demon lord. Can't wait to see more!!

I think #4 holds it's own but I agree with all who said #5 is strongest. I noticed #4 didn't really have a well developed underside for moving around and #5 had issues with the top area so I merged them both together

Let me know what you think. The close up of the mouth area could be illustrated better but I'm not worried about it too much at this point. I think I'm wanting to go in the direction of Demon Lord with fire/lava manipulation (still up in the air).

defiantly looking much more demon lord-esque but, i would defiantly add armor and clothes to stop him looking like a beast further down the line.

Yea, I already have ideas to add armor. I don't like the thought of demons wearing protective gear (something that was forged), it almost seems fake to me. I like the idea of the armor being a part of their actual body much more believable for demons in my opinion. I'll add this later, I understand what your saying though.

well if you want a lord, you should do '6'... but otherwise, anything else works.

I changed the neck area up a bit and messed with the arm/blade things. Ahh, let me know what you think. It's still just the first day so I'll try to get a completely new idea tomorrow. I'm gonna call it a day and get to it first thing in the morning.

yeah i love how you combined sketches. I loved the bottom part, and the top part looks really interesting. I'm not sure how the mouth opens though. is it like a huuuge mouth?

It's like a large sack of evil funness, I think. I want the top part where a regular mouth would be to fan out and slit down the middle. I'll get to sketching and post hopefully in the next hour so you can see what I'm trying to get across.

My main concern is timing when it comes to painting so I don't want to spend more than a week on this design. Painting really drys up my time quickly since I still consider myself a "fresh fish" to digital art.

Forgive me if my variety of thumbnail choices were so limited. I love having a variety but you can make anything look good if you know how to work around things. One of my strategies is to not be so damn picky on concepts anymore. As long as it fits the criteria, looks convincing and makes sense, then its alright with me.

Here's what I was thinking about with the mouth opening, for those that were wondering. I'm going to start making changes to his arms/legs and start posting for feedback and crits. Later

I wanted to post yesterday but I think the site was down.

Anyways, over all I want to have 3 fairly developed characters to choose from before I decide to move on to process of elimination. The 2nd one is going alright but I really like where the 3rd one seems to be headed. I'll finish up a 3/4 view of the 3rd and post soon (already have a back view of the 3rd but I'd rather post a 3/4 view instead). Posting soon...

I really don't want to spend too much time on sketching and concept since painting burns up most of my time. I'll post more detailed images of my 3 choices tomorrow.

looks a little weird from the front, but the other drawing you had looked pretty sweet. maybe mess with proportions, but I wouldn't necessarily ditch them.

The arms are nice, but not too sure about the feet. He doesn't look stable standing on his knuckles like that... unless he was a crawler of sorts.

Here's a front view of what I'm thinking about going with. It's rough so changes are still being taken. I'm keeping the head design and whats in his belly a secret until later. Adding a little mystery to the thread may gather attention and more crits which is what I need right now.

Thanks to everyone who has commented to help me out so for with decision making, this is definitely in my opinion a team effort. Even though I decide which path this character will walk you comments and crits have shaped my charters design in many of ways.

I'll give you all a hint. It's "crawling with hot vagina juice... can I say that here? The head design is going to pretty sweet I got the idea a couple days ago. I was like "AaaaaHA"!
