Aside from that, a Vampire: The Masquerade one would be neat (set in modern day, like Bloodlines was).
Also...ANYTHING MUTANT LEAGUE! (I just have to say that...in hopes.)

Planescape: because it's mean and gritty and there's so many crazy places to visit and you've got the Blood War going on which would fill the PVP role (hire yourself out as a mercenary)
Spelljammer: ship to ship combat in space, I could see a mechanic similar to Pirates of the Burning Seas but maybe remove the whole on foot quests and improve the boarding mechanic. Just make sure to put out your pipe when flying through the Phlogiston.
How about Battlestar Galactica? Each shard has a set # of people, and when any one of them dies, they're permanently removed from the game.

a naruto one sounds like it could be promising too, with the cell shaded type graphics that the other naruto games use.
however, I want an action-rpg-mmo to be made. no more waiting for auto attacks and crap. make it play like secret of mana (obviously with updated mechanics) or something. no auto targeting either, except for friendlies to heal.
cyberpunk in general needs a proper defining game outing it might just as well be a good mmo

although id much rather have that ip to do a free roaming but mostly linear awesome single player campaign game.
It wouldn't be about leveling up, more about coming up with the cleverest contraptions and earning popularity from people dropping by to use them. This way, anyone has a fair chance at ranking high, even if they don't have the best gear in the game.
You wouldn't have to purchase anything; there'd be a limited number of parts floating around in the world so you'd probably want to trade with other players.
And everyone would look like little inventors. I'd probably set it in the Renaissance.
I would also love to see Fallout 3 turned into an MMO ...

STALKER would be pretty cool. Joining the different factions, battling for territory, collecting artifacts and have the AI military go on raids. That said, there's no a whole lot of variation possible in setting and play styles, so it might not have the longevity that's needed.
Oh, and Lego Island. That would make for a great MMO.

Although if that is what your are looking for, go try Wizard 101, I think that's what it's supposed to be. There are several Pokemon-esque mmo's out there as well, I think. Neopets comes to mind.

You fight-kill your way to racer level or pit crew position. Periodic "local" prison matches escalate to rivalries with other prisons.
Annual world champ race goes live on youtube like in the movie.
Anyone else not into combat or racing aspects can enjoy prison sex or gang rape back in the shower room or your very own customizable cell.

I was going to say something different, but this. Give me a realistic economy and serious death penalties, too -- and keep the revolvers incredibly imprecise.
Also @ whoever said Vampire, the developers of EVE are making a World of Darkness MMO. That said White wolf kindof ruined everything that was ever good about that setting, so i wouldnt get your hopes up.

3) I'd like to see something along the lines of animal crossing or harvest moon. Something where you don't only invest in the characters but an area and items you don't carry around. I don't mean like each player has their own home with different decorations, but more like a farm or factory you operate.
I'd love to see an MMO (at the very least a new non-mmo game) based on Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar series (ie: Betrayal at Krondor / Return to Krondor). I think there is a MUDD in the works...but I'm pretty sure I'd rather read a book than play a MUDD.

could do some interesting stuff with time and creating "classes" meaning - periods of time students (players) go through "levels." Would require a shit load of content, but for avid fans who want to submerge themselves in that world, it'd be great.
Would probably be heavier on the Role Play aspect than other mmos... but could be entertaining nonetheless.
Not that i'd ever DREAM of getting near playing another MMO after WoW though, that game has destroyed my soul.

It's far future sci-fi where everyone has their memory recorded on a little metal "stack" in the back of their neck, and people are routinely "re-sleeved" in new bodies. Takeshi Kovacs is an ex-special forces guy who would have his stack data beamed across the universe and downloaded into new sleeves (rather than traditional space travel).
There are tons of different locations and situations he winds up in, and the things they do with the virtualization of people lends itself well to the notion of customizing characters, re-spawning/extra lives, and the kinds of diverse environments that make action games fun. From fighting beserk AI-controlled tanks, to nano-weaponry consuming everything, to crime drama and murder mysteries, he runs through a lot of shit that just seems like it would really adapt itself well to videogames.
He's also written a book called Market Forces that would make for a great setting for a Burnout/Economic hybrid, where businessmen make deals investing in warring countries, etc, and race in deathmatches for promotions
