This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!

Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
  • Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
  • Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce; Crocotile3D & Blockbench

Here's a handy list of ways to make your art look right in mainstream 3D software: Low-Poly Art Style Guide

How about voxels? They are super quick to produce, and marching cubes output optimizes excellently. Maybe now in 2025 we can upgrade the definition of low-poly a little bit.

that voxel look is sooooo cool!

i managed to do a bit of progress on this scene over the weekend and a few evenings.

worked on the scout class, the original uniforms are just one colored and i felt like that might be too far off the rest of the team, no gun for this one created yet thought about a silenced MP7.
Also started blocking the anti-pope dude. just a plain tpose and hands floating in front to test an idea for the later comp. will need to rig these dudes up eventually or just go the lazy transpose master route, dunno yet.
