My fellow Greentooths,
Black Mesa is a side project/total conversion for hl2 that I have been running for SEVEN YEARS. I love it, and I have worked on it with several other polycounters for the entirety of those years. In those years between this mod, my job at Cryptic Studios and this forum, I have learned much.
Recently, We announced our first release is coming in a matter of days! It's a very exciting time for us, and it is at this time that we are coming to you for your help!
We want to get Black Mesa on Steam! Through the use of Steam Greenlight, we are hoping to get enough votes to get Black Mesa available on Steam for free! If you feel like supporting this project, and a crazy mod team with some fellow polycounters in it, then GIVE US YOUR VOTE and share this link!

Edit: Have you tried emailing Valve about it? Might be worth a shot.
Also I'm sure Valve already know about this. Didn't they ask you guys to remove Source from the game's title?

Valve should really get this on steam without having you to go through greenlight! But seems you are already right on track regardless.
