Help me get Black Mesa on Steam!

VOTE FOR BLACK MESA ON STEAM!

My fellow Greentooths,

Black Mesa is a side project/total conversion for hl2 that I have been running for SEVEN YEARS. I love it, and I have worked on it with several other polycounters for the entirety of those years. In those years between this mod, my job at Cryptic Studios and this forum, I have learned much.

Recently, We announced our first release is coming in a matter of days! It's a very exciting time for us, and it is at this time that we are coming to you for your help!

We want to get Black Mesa on Steam! Through the use of Steam Greenlight, we are hoping to get enough votes to get Black Mesa available on Steam for free! If you feel like supporting this project, and a crazy mod team with some fellow polycounters in it, then GIVE US YOUR VOTE and share this link!

This is such awesome news! Voted yes without hesitation. I do wonder what Valve is going to think of this. Since this is going to be pretty much Half Life 1 with better graphics and for free. But maybe people will still buy the original for nostalgia reasons.

I'm kinda surprised you guys are having to take this route to get your game on Steam. Given the interest in the project it seems like it would have made good business sense for Valve to reach out to you guys and get the game for sale on Steam so both parties can make a few bucks.
