I guess the only thing I'm wondering is who this guy is, and where he got his gear. I'd like to see some more scavenged / home-made survival kit as opposed to pilfered military gear, but it still looks really cool. I'd push the Jamaican clothing a bit further, make him really look like a survivor as opposed to more of a soldier, but there's still loads of potential.

thanks danshewan. i was thinking the jamaican military is intact and hes part of it. i did not want him to look TOO scavanged, just as a more relaxed military type force.

Anyway sweet idea! kinda feel like you should make him more scavenger like tho like danshewan said. I don't really associate Jamaica with the military.
and you dont associate today's jamaica with military BUT after the zombiepocalypse hits
and they are the last bastion of humanity, you will.

Right now the wolf scarf and the headband say im African but the flag says no wait this characters Jamaican no wait err maybe umm ......
and thus your character looks like it's hovering between the two cultures.
So i think it's best to pick.
Lastly and sorry for going on but will your character trek the street or the hills will camouflage be needed is basically what im getting at.
If he was in the hills i'd change the trousers to camo maybe?
If he's street I'd probably keep as is but maybe make the tshirt white.
Take the street and hills comment lightly tho because I don't know enough about your characters background so just a suggestion.

melonman, great points tried to adjust the colors to fit more jamaican. also id say he is in the city more often than hills.

jam i am, thats cool haha! i am aware there are no hyenas there but i want to give him a half hyena/wolf combo anyway, if there really were a zombiepocalypse where jamaica were the last remianing refuge of man i am sure some animals would be shiped to jamaica in efforts to preserve the species or just as someones pet. on a side note, checked out your blog, really really nice stuff sir
here is the update:
i have adjusted colors and proportions in efforst to make him slightly more heroic.
the anatomy is kinda rough, havent worked on arms or legs much and chest is rough cause he will be clothed.
Good job looking good so far keep it up.
made some design changes while modeling. as many people on here mentioned, i am leaning toward a more rustic looking guy, nixing the cloth and going to damage up his stuff a bit more. also will be giving him a lower tech rifle and binocular combo.
going to be moving to weaps now

I love the improvized scope on that mosin-nagant..
and the dents in the wooden stock makes the rifle look like clay., wood doesnt dent, wood cracks and chips
to evil: they are suppose to be duct tape but i think right now they are too thin and failing in showing proper tension, i will revisit them after i revisit the pants. rope is a cool idea to throw on top of the tape too. i will do that if i have time. as far as wood denting goes, it does dent, but i need to sell it alot bettr than it is currently. thanks for the crits.

thanks free_fall! and thanks irnublol, i did start them today but kinda not? cause i make so many maps already just from extracting displacement and normal and dirt so it makes texturing very easy
