Regardless of if you think the head is too wide, the thing is looking DANG awesome! Did you do a base mesh of this before going into ZBrush with it or did you start in ZBrush? Keep it up! This will look great!
I made a base, yeah, Would drive me nuts starting from scratch in zbrush.

I'm really running low on time so I need to start a low poly asap tomorrow. Going to have to call this high poly done. While there are things I'd like to change I'm confident it will read much better when I get it textured.
This will be a close one! Hopefully I have enough time to finish this over the weekend.
Love this dude. Silhouette reads perfectly, great hierarchy and definition of shapes, and just a cool design overall.
I hate to be the screen door on your submarine, but are you sure it's gonna work for the crow's bill to be sticking out like that? Collision box / proxy aside, it seems like that would have broken off long ago based on how much wear and tear the other parts have... maybe tuck it down a little? Either way, looks great man.
Ferg has a point, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can do what I always say...FIX IT IN THE LOW! Bake, then adjust. But you are a pro so you know what to do
It's 1486 triangles. I had to crunch it a lot, it mostly suffers from the side view of the grip, so I think I will add a couple more edges there (I swear before baking I had 1498... lol )
I had to change the high poly a bit in some places to save a few more polygons, again mostly the grip and the bottom of the weapon but the bake pulled through alright.
Vonklaus has a good point there. you could hit some of the planes with a distinct blue and give some of the feathers a fade-in gradient as they move in toward the central body shape.
That's sort of the theme afaik. I wanted to keep the clean light blue/tinted green to warm purple contrast from the crow temple reference and keep it consistent across the model. I tried a skull-like yellow for the grip but it seemed kind of forced. I think the subtle dark green tint works nicely.
Thanks for the feedback

Yeah I see what you mean about a gradient on the feathers, thanks for the crit.

I'll come back to this tomorrow with a fresh pair of eyes.
Dude, I've been peeking at this all weekend, and was looking at it for ref when i was wrapping up my colors. Totally bad-ass! I love the design and the feeling of weight to it. Yeeeah!

Bake
It'll read better with colour and some edges wont be so edgy, but meshgojidhbkg can't stop, back to ze texturing!

ah balls forgot to turn spec on...nvm
God damnit, that is beautiful. What's your final tri count?
Bake looks beautiful, would love to see a wire

May have to fiddle with the spec and some other bits, but nearly done. Then I've gotta put everything together.
Beautiful texture man.
