We'll start by just drawing a piece everyday, and it can be digital or traditional. Then we'll start to work in some sweet themes to challenge ourselfs! ex. robots, chicks etc.

some doodling from me... not quite on your guys level!
Robot sketch.....trying to learn some drawing skills!
some poop to get me back in the game
I wish I could paint these out in colour
Critique me please!
I GOTTA get on this page.
Sketchyness from me today.
I find it a little hard to provide much critique on the latest line sketch because it is so rough. I think the overall concept of the location seems interesting and there is much to look at - but my eyes seem unable to find a focal point in the scene. I think you could help the eye more going over the image in a certain pattern, and separate the foreground more from the background with line thickness / line weight. http://www.sketchmyworld.com/line-weight-importance-in-product-sketching/ (P.s. Stinger88 has neat line weight variation in his recent robot sketch!)
After going over some more of your previous sketches I see you already have varying line weight in your drawings, but I think you could increase its effect even more. And even if you're not into colouring the drawings yet, It'd be nice to see you throwing in some greyscale values on some of them Posting also this in case you haven't come across it before, some really good tips in here for composition stuff! http://www.cgsociety.org/index.php/CGSFeatures/CGSFeatureSpecial/phil_straub_composition_tutorial
P.s. Coming here is always so humbling. Bless you creative people!

getting to grips with my first tablet (intuos)...
kinda strange I seem to draw using one little area of the tablet.. its kinda annoying but my hand doesnt fee comfortable or nt jittery on the rest of the surface.. I need to find a way to prop it up so I can use my whole hand..
Wow, I can't thank you enough Nina! I noticed at one point that my eye had trouble sorting the right side of the sketch as the weight of the line is the same across everything on that side. Now I just have to fix that in my next sketch and hopefully soon I'll be putting in some greyscale values to sort the foreground from the background! Thanks again!
@rolfness Use your shoulder/elbow to draw, not your wrist. That's why its all shaky. If you're sketching use your pinky as an stabilizer!
Also, practice doing hundreds of straight lines at every angle and doing elipses. Once you do that it's really really easy.
pinkie stabilizer.. what kind of trickery is this ??
great stuff as usual guys.
i am crossposting from my portfolio.

Nice rendering of the metallic surface, wester!
Watched Hotel Transylvania recently, and I loved the way the characters were animated. The movement and exaggerated expressions were inspiring, so have some Dracula sketches!
Here ya go!

Use fast swooping lines, its not really practical to try and make lines look good by going slow on a tablet, it will pick up the shakiness. Go fast and try to make it accurate, try not to rotate your canvas!
By the way, great stuff guys.. very inspiring.
you can rotate the canvas ?
thats not so interesting.. Id like to rotate brushes though.. is this possible?
Yeah, you can rotate the canvas with R i think with anything above PS CS3, but dont, get your hand used to all the angles.
Also, yes you can rotate brushes from the brushes panel by clicking and rotating the little triangle gizmo in the brush tip shape tab in the brushes panel. If you want to brushtip to rotate depending on the direction you drag your brush click on the shape dynamics tab, and click the thin that says control under Angle Jitter... there are a bunch of options to choose from that affect it.
thanks again
I'm not a great 2D artist at all, but I'll have to disagree with this. Even in the video you just posted you can see Feng rotating his canvas all the time. If you draw from the elbow there are certain angles that are just way easier if you rotate the canvas because you can use your elbow as a pivot point. (7:35 and up shows what I'm talking about)
Here's something I've been looking at to finish, but not right now. Been doing too many girly pictures lately, think my subconscious is trying to tell me something.
Here's mama and papa bear... haha just kidding they're some aliens, I wasn't even planning on making a female + male :P
Critiques please!
EDIT: This is FractaL by the way, thought I'd make a new account with my real name so that I am more easily identifiable in the google plus hangouts
Double edit: Holy shit I didn't even mean put a penis on the male on purpose, that was an accident created by my overly sketchy style.
I agree its useful to rotate the canvas, as even I do it with traditional mediums, but I'm talking about holding off from doing that so that he gets better at doing those angles with his tablet.
Thats why its important to learn to draw with the elbow AND shoulder, as tiring as it is, its still going to yeild way way better results than using your wrist to do so.
