Been a while! I stalk the thread every day though, so I don't miss your awesome stuff!
I finally have something to add for once. From today's concept art class. Specs: Make something technical using photo refs for creation! Here are my cute but deadly chibibots.

Cool scene, Amanda. You have a lot of interesting ideas.
KennyTies: Thanks, glad you like the designs. Regarding where I got my inspiration thats a tricky question to answer. I get influences from many different sources and try to make something that mixes them together. I like looking at nature (plants, animals) or going to museums to look at various artistic expressions from other cultures and historical periods.
Thanks erik! i like the render of your creatures. and Twoflower! the second one. In my opinion, placing the character lower, composition wise, than the castle, will enhance the castles potential strenght, or threat if you will.
and placing the key elements on more distincly different heights will make the image read better, and make it more fun to look at! and great work by the way
Really nice everyone
Here's another school task/practice. Some environmental concept inspired by the Monastery from Uncharted 2. We were supposed to make something similar that could fit next to the original in the same art book.
