@skeptical nate - LOVE IT! great work dude, really inspiring stuff.
Did some work on the high poly of the drivers seat for my drift project, still kinda messy in places, so if anyone has any crit im happy to make tweaks and changes before i tidy it up Was really tempted to make it really worn any unique but its going to be used twice in the same car so the repetition would be obvious.
Hey Scott , This is looking good, my only concerns are the area under the head rest of the seat. It looks a little thin around that area bearing in mind most headrests taper towards the top (It could just be the render or the style you have gone for). Also the seat side support for the base could do with a few edge loops just to tighten it up a little. Lastly, the seat belts at the top are going though the headrest. That would give very little room for the belts to sit on the shoulders of the passenger. Maybe moving them on the outer side might work better. Cant wait to see the final results though. Are you going for a pro racing interior to the vehicle or boy racer?
Intervain, Skeptical Nate, fightpunch, hoenheim, ysalex.............. ALL OF YOU KICK ASS! Thanks for the inspiration
Latest from me. Perhaps Santa will bring me some sorely needed life drawing classes, but either way as usual I polished this turd as hard as I could.....and when that didn't work I just rolled it in glitter.
Workin' on my sculpting skills, and thought I would make a staff. The concept , drawn by Michael Dembitskyi. Going to be taking the staff from LP to HP sculpt (Current stage), back to LP. Going to have to rebuild some of the LP though, due to some silhouette changes for better results. This image I put together really quick as a slight paintover, and also a cool phone background image for myself.
Excuse the lumpy ball thing in his mouth.... Experimenting with material definition and working out what is going to be made out of what... lol \
About an hour or so into the actual sculpt (meaning SUPER WIP), starting from a 2k tri base mesh. Might make a small scene around the style later down the road for portfolio.
Needs some tweaks, some proportions seem off. My wires also are a mess I think but I don't really know how to fix them, they don't look clean at all. If anyone has suggestions or spots issues... please point them out. Tips/overpaints, all much appreciated!
Skimmed through the thread, decided it was a reference photo :polytwitch:
Wooden handle looks unnatural - need more gloss. I understand it is still a WIP, just my 2 cents
Still got a bit to do, wanted to polypaint too not sure if I'll get that all done before Xmas. Should be able to knock out the sculpting tomorrow though.
@OrganisedChoas, Oh man thats a beast! Imagine a whole herd of them pulling the slay and snapping at each other. That would be a winning scene right there.
This is a little bit of a work dump from me as I'm finally allowed to show off my cspromod work. What you have below is the reimagining of the Phoenix Terrorist and SAS Counter Terrorist. Along side those guys is the Defuse Kit and Bomb Bag. Any you can play with these models now as we release them with beta 1.10. So if you have the time please
give it a go! Just follow the instructions on the main page at Cspromod.com.
As for personnal work I'm still chipping away with my space opera princess (linky) but I've put aside the christmas holiday
to get it done and out of the way once and for all as she kept getting put on the sideline.
Anyways my fellow polycounters, Merry Christmas!!!

very nice model!
the shader on the skin feels a bit porcelain-ish though. i think a little less gloss and slightly more sss would help a lot.
what happened to the umbrella ?
Nice. Looks pretty acuracate from what I can remember. Are you planning on texturing this?

Herd Lord
I'm gonna study horse anatomy, on a giraffe, because I wnt to sculpt a giraffe soon
I did a rough skeleton as a study, still gotta research proportions, but the pieces are there.
BTW, thought I wouldn't make a separate thread, as its not something I want to finish to a finish-quality
does anyone know of any notoriously good books for horse anatomy that I might be able to find online?
and here is low-poly n marmoset ~13k trys, 2k maps
More progress on the 200sx drift cinematic, working on the interior and fitting the rollcage to the inside of the shell.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Quick 1 day Superman sculpt. Suit is from the new movie, face is just freehand.

Here are two plates made for a sci fi project I'm doing with another game artist. You will hear about this project this year
Them are part of a modular "framework" of assets.
I stopped the texture for now, until we have a better overview on the entire set.
The Christmas Wisent with shady croissants on his head!
