Today I also finished the highpoly for her guns.
They are not created for FPS. More Third person kinda.
Some sculpting may occur on them before I bake them down to the lowpoly.
Oh, havn't checked my sketchbook for a while now, so sorry for the late response.
I'll definitely throw together a turn table for the head when I get the time!
Here's a new render of an old Kel-tec KSG shotgun that I made half a year ago or something like that.
(sorry for the banding, will be fixed before I put it on my folio )
Been on a break from the character lately. The UV-mapping is done, and it bakes pretty good actually. The gun is in the same state.
Been super inactive and tired from working, but here's a sunday doodle!
pretty boring
duuude, love that female character. the proportions and the silhouette looks great but you could stick in some more irregularity to her outfit, just like Fritzell mentioned about the face. Maybe some kind of waist strap leaning down more on one side of her hip or some cool armor glove/arm thing on one side. Perhaps changing one of her shoulder pads or something.
either way, she looks great and i love the level of detail (something i personally need to improve upon). looking forward to see further progress!
And ye, about the symmetry
It's a great point, and I will try to fix some of it after work today. I won't have time for big changes though. Need to have it finished soon to able to send my portfolio around. Thanks a lot for the feedback! Appreciate it
well, besides having the texture pretty clean around the eye lashes and the fact that it's a working size texture (pretty darn big )
It's just alpha-to-coverage at the deffault setting
Yea, It probably is that. Sometimes it's hard to estimate how much space some stuff needs to have on the UV lay out Lucky it's not that hard to correct just that.
Your work is coming along very nicely. I especially love the sketch of the spacecraft hanging in the forest.
Did you hand paint the girl in armour's textures?
Thanks a lot!
The only thing not entirely "hand painted" on the texture is the metal scratches on the shoulder pads and the back armor. I will paint over it, but I think I will keep some of the high frequency details. At least in the specular
Here's an update on the character!
Going slow at the moment. Been doing other stuff
Will probably make the face look a bit more like it did before. In a way hehe. Will also start on the gun soon!
The face is also skewed a bit right now. tsk tsk ;<
Sooo, jumping on to the next thing!
A cargo space ship!
Putting together a concept right now, and it looks like this at the moment.
Nothing is 100% right now, especially not the colors.
Will try to make a front and a back view the coming week.
Dude , nice sketchbook ! I really enjoy your environments on page 3 , the hand painted textures on the creature I saw on page 1 were totally awesome too Keep up the good work:)
Your shotgun is awesome and different which I like. And your alien ship environment is my new favorite environment piece. It provokes so much life and emotion in it.
Been a pretty relaxing weekend! Updated my portfolio and relaxed quite a bit for a change
Here's a drawing I did today! Trying out a different work flow.

It's some sort of Alien ship that's been caught by the thick foliage in a deep forest
Dont' mind "the marmoset" Just trying stuff out while texturing.

It's some kind of Killzone-ish dude!
The images are fine for me. I am on 1920x1080 just for reference.
Okey, yea, that's what I'm sitting on too.

Will probably give him some more love yesterday.
His name is Malte. Will also be a nicer screenshot when it's done.

No pictures up yet!
I'll call him done now. Now I'm going to start on the next project!
