Awesome work Fletcher, so much life in this model. The little touches in the outfit really add so much personailty to the piece that`s missing from too much pro (re: comercially released) work. One question though,
the brown strap across his chest, is that just a strap or is it holding up the vacuume? And if so, does that mean he puts the vacuum on before he puts on his overalls? I would normally expect it to be on top of the overalls straps.
The vacuum is attached at the waist also. So he could put the pants on, strap on the vacuum over the pants and put the shoulder strap on, then pull up the overalls.
It came out great! Fits well together with that Mario you did during Brawl.
You could add some more tint of redness on his fingers, ears and nose to make him look more lifelike.
why are they Mexican, are you trying to say everything down there is dirty and people look like slobs?
erm, being near the Gulf of Mexico doesn't necessarily make them Mexican. They could just as easily be cubans from Florida or Frenchie's from Louisiana or even rednecks from Texas. Just saying.
The Gulf of Mexico is connected to... Mexico. The point being, that's where the BP oil spill was, the repair thereof would be their goal. Don't be so sensitive, ye!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH GOD YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I agree with everyone, you need to do this treatment for the rest of the characters. I can't even imagine how awesome Bowser would look
It's not an exciting video, just thought i'd prepare anyone expecting something interesting, it's just an idle animation and a bunch of ambient shit going on. Heh.
Had plans for a short animated sequence where they fight and toy with each other but just couldn't be arsed in the end, oh well..

Keep it up, nice work!

I may have just confused myself.

And I have the exact same hoover at home. Right down to colour and everything!
Great stuff!
I know I said I would post flats and wires, but i- BAZAAAAM!!!
It's in UDK, they're very flat in terms of specular at the moment, may fix that but mbefglgkjg.
I have a video of this too with some crappy (yet mildly interesting) ambient audio and some crappy (yet mildly interesting) idle animations.
But I can't figure out how to export a 1080p video that isn't like 2gb in size and take a lifetime to upload to youtube.
I will find a way, then I shall post the mildly interesting video!
...and flats and wires!
@ Goraaz
I agree, might add some more red to areas of the skin
Fixed! :poly121:
He is only a man... I think :shifty:
I predict you'll be getting Kotaku'd shortly
Just a question... How the disconnected trusty henry hoover is it supposed to work ? Haha ^^
God damn fletcher, awesome work

You're welcome
Seriously though, I thought it deserved a mention. I apologise in advance for the potential Kotaku comments that may make you want to quit 3D.
Now I never want to again.
Thanks guys.

And the flats and wires which I forgot to post:
I'm digging this.
Awesome stuff man. You could try using virtual dub(free) to recompress the video down to a reasonable size before uploading.
I have no words to describe what I see in this thread so here's a gif
