in my opinion, some mucle groups dont make alot of sense to me. like the muscles on the buttocks and the back of the forearm
Excellent! I was trying to mix the flanks if a quadruped with the buttocks of a hominid, and it was second guessing just hoping nobody noticed that it didn't make any sense. The forearms are on the list for upping. The next video I make will most likely involve penis, so it can't be public. Thanks so much for the crits!
Really fantastic work! I love your style. If anything, I'd say his feet need a bit more work. Maybe some scratches and gashes around the body, too? For demons from hell, they're pretty pristine!

As for the scarring and 'wear': it's definitely missing on this guy mostly because Sculptris (the program I prefer to use for 'from-scratch' models) really sucks at working asymmetrically. So all of the asymmetric details are added in Zbrush. What I work on now is general form and silhouette. Many times in the later videos you see me assigning a flat shader to the model to make sure the silhouette is as good as possible.

I like the inclusion of the genitals here. Arne Jansson did the same with his diablo stuff - his words on the subject: "Side note, not omitting the dangly bits somehow makes the designs much more tangible and honest". I agree with them.
One thing that strikes me as odd is that you've gone with pretty "human" junk (bar that skinny guy's goat balls) at each stage, even for demons with horse bodies and stuff - is it just to keep it more familiar or what? Seems like the dicks just get bigger, not weirder in the bigger/crazier demons.

Hey! Thanks for the kind words! I explained my preference toward humanoid-genitals earlier in the thread, but it was lost amongst the walls and walls if text.
You are correct that they are in-fact mostly human genitals on animalistic (but still mostly hominid) forms, but you are wrong in the assumption that this is a result of a lack of thought. Originally I concepted these creatures with more bovine-like genitals, but it had no real social impact, nor did it reflect the sexual aggression some of these creatures represent. These monsters are the flesh and bone of pure societal inequality. They represent the cruelest legalities and the most unfair taboos. I'm quite glad that people are distracted by their human genitalia...
Now, that quote was in defence of someone saying that the designs were not 'well thought out'; not directed at you, but it does sum up why the cocks and titties all look human.
Makes sense :^) Interested to see where you go with all this for sure (the jump in the quality of art from the start of the thread is phenomenal, of course).
Thanks! I don't know where I'll take this whole project. Really, this is just an ongoing project to act as an artistic outlet. I may give the finished models to some people who want animation practice or maybe just keep them all to myself...

Wow! Thank you for the kind words. I'm open to suggestions as to what to do with the project. Someone suggested a Skyrim mod, but that seems like a ton of work for a single artist who can't code!
you could use more skin folds and detail in your sculpts. the transitions between muscles is weak right now. it looks better when you done some texturing, but you could still push it further in the sculpting phase. it would also make them looks grosser, which could be fitting.
