Giles: The charcoal brush stuff is helping you chisel out better 3d forms, but go back in and clean it up afterwards! You dont have to crush down all the texture, but define the edges between each form!
Giles, I have to say it was neat to see you progress in this thread! I'm starting out myself and it was very inspirational to see how you've developed in this thread. Keep up the great work, its really paying off!
You gonna rig him and do some animation? Looks kinda boxerish to me, he should definitely be a boxer. If he ends up being a boxer it's because I said it would :P
Wow, so many posts, so inspiring!:) Fantastic job on the big dave char, and I love the old man head - small nitpick though, I think the jacket should be more of a smooth suede looking material - everything has a sort of noise on it, so it would be good to have contrast of flat/simple surface somewhere.
Still can't believe you're like 18 ... keep it up, you are sooo gonna have a job soon.
