only played the demo of the first one (longest demo ive ever played!!!) and never got around to purchasing it. watching the trailer for the new one makes me want to go buy it. i just might.
man... soul reaver was one of the best game i played. Awesome story, awesome characters! and it looks pretty freaking good back in the day. Makes me sad that we don't get to see the characters again..
i never actually finished defiance. had it for Xbox and when i was a bit more than halfway through, the game just somehow reset. lost my saves. then i started a new game. went through it again. got to the same part and i think around that time i got a 360 (i was kinda late on it), and kinda just never touched it again. itd be nice to finish that one lol. only of the games ive finished is Soul Reaver 1 and Blood Omen 2.
I agree with gir, so much of this game reminded me of legacy of kain and I adored it for that.
Darksiders was the best 3rd person adventure game I'd played in years, this sequel, I want!
so i just finished darksiders 1. gotta say its one of the most amazing stories in a game that ive played through. as long as the game was, i didnt mind because the mystery of everything that happened had me compelled to just get through to the end. truly spectacular. cant wait for number 2.

Really? I felt the story was pretty meh overal. But I did love the game to bits, regardless of its iffy gameplay and controls! But the art... Oh, the art!! Absolutely gorgeous environment and character work. Also, Vulgrim, Samael and Ruin are seriously badass!
In case you guys didn't see this or any of the other crazy amounts of media hitting the web... shows off a bit more of the environments we're working on.
cant wait for this game. working with vigil on the 40k MMO, we have the ability to see their Wips......and all I can say is wow....the art is really inspiring. although I force myself to only take the occasional small peek because I want to experience the game as the finished product, the 1st was probbaly my fav game of that year. keep kickin ass dudes.

I just hope they do a better job with the packaging this time. Darksiders 1 used the same picture for the cover, booklet, and disc, and on PS3 had no inside cover art either.
I just pre-ordered this. Man, this game looks so good. It looks like they've made a huge jump visually from the last one to this one - and I thought the last one looked really good, so....

One of my most anticipated games of the year. Love the art so much. And who dosnt love a hack and slash zelda type game, first one was a lot of fun and this one seems even more deep.
I have it preordered already... but didn't know if the special edition was worthwhile. I'll be getting the art book just like the first one. Hopefully they won't be going with Udon. That book feels like its gonna fall apart.
yea... i got a pdf of the art book just so i don't have to open it that often when i want to look at it. which is a shame. But, even with those flaws, the art was worth while
