Amazing model! The one thing that catches my eye are the central creases on the face (nose and lips in particular)... from a distance it reads as a mip mapping error or something to me.
I love how clean and defined everything is.
hes VERY cool looking.. I do have to say though, his design seems a little disjointed-looks like Warcraft... 40 thousand years later. Could be nice to have more of the daemon armor elements creeping around the design somehow- I know he's done just my two cents. It's still badass though!
Wow thanks guys. Its really good to hear from everybody.
This was a really fun piece to work on so I think I am going to continue with the sort of darksiders theme and make an angel warrior guy to fight him. I've done a couple head sketches so far but nothing has caught my eye just yet.
B1ll - Thanks man. Your texture work has been a huge inspiration to me.
Bobo - Thanks BoBo Just like with B1ll I've been following your work for years and its been a huge inspiration in all of my work.
Se7en - I miss you too buddy haha. Hopefully we'll get another chance to work together. Hope your enjoying Cali.
Thanks again everybody. I'll start posting my next project soon.
Here is a little update on my Angel Warrior. It is still a work in progress. I'm not particularly happy with the wings just yet and the face was just a quick test I made while teaching myself zbrush, I'll be replacing it with a better one. The skull block outs on the shoulders, knees and chest will be sculpted up.
Let me know what yous guys think so far.
It will probably be a little while before the next update. I'm going out of town for about a week then I'm moving to Austin where I'll be starting my new job!.
Thanks everybody. You guys guessed it. I'll be starting at Vigil next month. I'm really excited about it.
The armor is all just your old fashion hard surface edge control in max.
I had a little bit of time this morning so I did some exploration on what I wanted the face to look like. More noble and strong than the first one. I also played around with polypaint. Still learning this craaazy program
Wicked stuff. I really love the Angel. His wings are great. Could use a bit more detailing on them but you have a really awesome start on it so far.
and Grats on the new job! Good luck
I suspect there will be a formal congrats thread soon enough, but I'm glad to hear you got the job. Your stuff seems like a perfect fit for Vigil so congratulations!
Is there a reason why you want to use Zbrush now? Seems like you've been doing just fine in Mudbox.
