I wonder if the hackers are all modern warfare chugging xbox fags and this has a part to play in it too... hackers are likely to play games, what would be the point in taking down networks they want to use?
Apparently the new firmware update is causing older models (60 and 80gigs) to overheat. I would recommend you guys with the older models to hold back for the fix.
"They are structured in independent cells and make thousands of simultaneous attacks using infected 'zombie' computers worldwide," Spanish police told Reuters. "This is why NATO considers them a threat ... they are even capable of collapsing a country's administrative structure."
It's got some epic CSI-level of computer illiteracy all over it. Maybe they should have whipped out a GUI real quick in Visual Basic to track down their IP numbers.
And of course, no real proof will be provided, and people will bring their pitchforks and torches. You do realize that they could have grabbed any hacker that has caused an issue, and claim they did this, right?
They caught some "potential" anons, nothing proves that they are related to psn hack in any way. Buth hey some tabloid types site like to link anon to psn hack due to sony op (related to sony putting charges on geohot).... Mixing and hashing old news to make new news for hits...
But like notman says, when you've a suspect to show to the masses it's always a good diversion for the real issue (in this case sony obvious lack of serious security policy)
